Brompton Cemetary has a rich history of lovers meeting for the first time.
She had nut painted arms
That were hers to keep
And in her fear
She sought cracked pleasures
The passion of lovers is for death said she
Licked her lips
And turned to feather
And as I watched from underneath
I came aware of all that she keep
The little foxes so safe and sound
They were not dead
They’d gone to ground
The passion of lovers is for death said she
The passion of lovers is for death
The passion of lovers is for death said she
The passion of lovers is for death
She breaks her heart
Just a little too much
And her jokes attract the lucky bad type
As she dips and wails
And slips her banshee smile
She gets the better of the bigger to the letter
The passion of lovers is for death said she
The passion of lovers is for death
The passion of lovers is for death said she
The passion of lovers is for death
The passion of lovers is for death said she
The passion of lovers is for death
The passion of lovers is for death said she

My Friend Erica Berg has made and is now promoting a terrific short film called Christine 1403 about Christine de Pizan. See it if you get a chance. It’s already been booked at a whole bunch of film festivals, so here’s hoping she is able to expand upon it.
It’s very relevant in our modern times of perpetual war.
Erica has previously made theatre about Mary Haskell (benefactoress to Kahlil Gibran) and Joan of Arc (which she performed as a one-woman show at the Edinburgh fringe to considerable acclaim).
She’s also one of my favourite people.

Late one night I found myself at shardcore’s place, after the last train had left and the kids were in bed. He had a video camera, a tripod, a list of questions and a hat.

Found time lapse footage set to John Cage reading an extract from Silence. Shot with an iSight camera and a PowerBook G4 with BTVPro.

The footage was as you see it and I simply listed my music collection by track length and noticed that this track by John Cage was of the same duration. Cage liked coincidences, so I stuck them together.

Another π day is upon us (March 14th). I try to add another 10 decimal places or so to what I can recite. This and Darwin day (February 12th) are my replacements for Xmas and Easter.
