Further unrelated, I liked this story from the BBC (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7295559.stm) - now all I need to do is download some “thumping Serbian turbo-folk music” which sounds excellent.

Back in London after a wonderful time in Oz.

A promise; no more stupid rants on this blog. No one cared, least of all me. From now on it’s skateboarding boardsports only, and plenty of it.

There are enough opinions out there, but not enough 39 year old skaters filming their follies and posting them to a website for no good reason other than it enforces his exercise regime without joining a gym.

I hate Xmas.

I like giving presents, eating food and taking holidays, but somehow I hate Xmas. I hate the music, the booze, the traffic, the temperature, the commercialism, the religion, the whole insincerity of the thing, the waste of money, the indulged children, the faux regret from over-eating, the carols, the games, the cheer. I hate the expectation, the trees, the tinsel, the ribbons, the wrapping paper, the wrapping and the memorised benedictions from shop assistants.

I didn’t use to hate it. When I was a child I loved it, but those days are gone and nostalgia isn’t enough to keep stupid traditions in the calendar.

Have a good time however you spend it; don’t let it get you down, and make sure the beneficiary of your goodwill isn’t the credit card company.

Damn, though the music is terrible - except for this…

I take the whole episode as an indication to keep up the pointless skateboarding blog posts. When that’s all I did, I was even earning money from ads. When I stopped being silly to comment on the world around me, they banned me from their index; I can read between the lines.

I’ll stop trying to be clever. Pointless videos and diversions only from now on.

Incidentally, this is just in time for my skateboarding tour of Melbourne which starts on Boxing day. I’ll keep my 4 readers (which includes my parents) posted.
