podcasts
Having given up TV several years ago, I listen to & watch the following podcasts (in no particular order):
- Skepticality
- Skeptoid
I recommend this podcast from Brian Dunning very highly indeed. Give it try for some very intelligent perspectives.
- Skeptics Guide to the Universe
My favourite podcast of all. Steven Novella, MD takes on bad science with tremendous rigour.
- New Scientist
- Astronomy Cast
- Point of Inquiry
- TED talks
Excellent video from the world’s most interesting people. Essential.
- Science Friday
- Astronomy Cast
- Logically Critical
At last the internet becomes useful to me, besides simply providing an income.
The authors, presenters and contributors to these podcasts have my deepest thanks and admiration, which, in the absence of advertising revenue for them, will have to do. Enjoy them.
If you still can’t find anything to enjoy, you can try my own:
but please don’t complain if you don’t get the point. There might not be almost certainly isn’t one besides a vague and general interest in what things look like through a camera lens.
The videos are made with whatever I have to hand that takes video (a surprising number of devices), shooting some footage, editing out the *really* rubbish bits and then finding a song of exactly the same length. I like Tarkovsky so long boring shots with very little happening don’t bother me, but I apologise in advance.
