Black Sabbath - Paranoid
Skating in Hyde Park to Black Sabbath’s Paranoid.
Apr 02 2008
At last the British weather turned, and I was able to go for a much needed skate around Hyde Park on my skateboard.
The music is Black Sally, by Human Instinct. This is also my 1st video podcast. ![]()

This just arrived from Dogtown Skateboards. I’m about as happy as a man can be, who’s girlfriend has just left for the week. Of course there are no bloody pools to skate in London…

Skateboarding in Brompton Cemetary to Faith No More’s Midlife Crisis.
This song seemed appropriate.
Faith No More - Midlife Crisis Lyrics
Go on and wring my neck
Like when a rag gets wet
A little discipline
For my pet genius
My head is like lettuce
Go on dig your thumbs in
I cannot stop giving
I’m thirty-something
Sense of security
Like pockets jingling
Midlife crisis
Suck ingenuity
Down through the family tree
You’re perfect, yes, it’s true
But without me you’re only you
Your menstruating heart
It ain’t bleedin’ enough for two
It’s a midlife crisis…
What an inheritance
The salt and the kleenex
Morbid self attention
Bending my pinky back
A little discipline
A donor by habit
A little discipline
Rent an opinion
Sense of security
Holding blunt instrument
I’m a perfectionist
And perfect is a skinned knee
You’re perfect, yes, it’s true
But without me you’re only you
Your menstruating heart
It ain’t bleedin’ enough for two
It’s a midlife crisis…

Indie 9″ trucks, Bones Reds, angled risers, Jessops tape, 70mm Kryptonics wheels.
It carves like you wouldn’t believe. It’s wide enough (10″) for me and has a really shallow concave. I feel like Mike V. (but I’m rubbish). Best birthday ever!
update: I had a sense of forboding when I saw this.

…and this is what I want.
You’ve got ’till Sunday 13th May (10:00am) to buy it for me or I order it myself. Alternatively, buy one for yourself and when mine arives I’ll race you down Primrose Hill.

update: bought it for myself 29/06/07
Last year I got myself this (below), and if you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know how much it gets used.

update: same deck this morning (about a year old).
